Scott Severin will link up with Watford upon the expiry of his Dons contract this summer.

The experienced Severin has decided against signing a new deal at Pittodrie and will become new Watford manager Malky Mackay's first signing for the Hornets.

"It's at an advanced stage and we're hopeful something will happen with Scott when I return," Mackay, currently on a coaching course, told the Daily Record.
