Mark McGhee wants to run the rule over Jamie Smith, who was released by the Dons before McGhee's arrival at the club.

"I need to see why he was getting injured and if there is anything we can do to help him avoid them," said the new Pittodrie boss.

"I haven't spoken to the player or his agent but there is a possibility we could bring him back."
