Stephen Hughes could be re-united with Mark McGhee this summer.

The 26-year-old is out of contract at Motherwell and could follow McGhee to Pittodrie.

"I'm fairly hopeful," said the new Dons boss.

"So far the options Stephen has been given by his agent and by clubs don't really jump out at him.

"I think we have an advantage in the sense that he knows us and likes working with us."
