Shots lose out to promotion-chasing Wycombe
Aldershot lost 3-0 at Wycombe on Saturday.
Dean Howell headed a John Paul-Pittman cross against his own post and John Akinde slotted home the resulting rebound.
Wycombe extended their lead after half-time when Pittman's shot was blocked, only for the ball to deflect in off defender Ricky Newman.
Matt Phillips sealed the win after 67 minutes, scoring after another Pittman assist.
Aldershot manager Gary Waddock said: "I thought we had a decent spell at the end of the first half and start of the second but that was about it.
"The truth of the matter is we don't have a big enough squad to push on at the moment.
"We didn't get any luck - (Dean) Howell's attempted clearance for the first goal, nine times out of 10 that would have gone safe.
"But we are battling on, we have really suffered with injuries but we will keep going, you have to accept a situation and just get on with it."
