Arsenal relieved to have Bendtner back
05:00 PM 05 February, 2010
Arsene Wenger is relieved to have Nicklas Bendtner back in his Arsenal Football Club plans.

The Danish international has often been criticised as not good enough for the Gunners in the past, but there is no doubt they have missed him over the past three months.

Bendtner has been out with a groin problem which required surgery, but he is now back in contention and could feature at Chelsea on Sunday.

“He has a physical presence up there,” said Wenger. “He is not totally ready yet, but at the moment we are short in that position so we are happy to have him back.”

Arsenal know they must simply win at Stamford Bridge to stay in the hunt for the Premier League title, having lost 3-1 to Manchester United last weekend.

bendtner has a lousy first touch, hangs on to the ball for too long and his passes can be inaccurate.we def have missed his physical presence.one player who should be given out for free is denilson.he cannot stay on his feet, cannot tackle, pass and i blame him for man u's goals especially the 2nd one.a counter attack and he JOGGED back!nani's through ball would never have got through if he had run faster to cut off that space.is it just me or do arsenal players avoid passing to him like the plague.
