Marouane Chamakh admits he wants to join Arsenal Football Club in the summer.

The Morocco international striker is out of contract at Bordeaux in the summer, and despite the French club looking for a second successive Ligue 1 title, he is unlikely to sign a new deal.

A number of clubs have been linked with Chamakh in the past, and although the Gunners failed to sign him last summer, he hopes they return for his signature at the end of the season.

"My choice is to join Premier League and if I could choose, I will go to Arsenal,” he said. “I will soon clearly state things so the club (Bordeaux) can prepare to find my replacement peacefully."
