Arsenal target Melo to remain in Turin
11:30 AM 19 March, 2010
Felipe Melo looks almost certain to remain at Juventus, meaning Arsenal Football Club will miss out on the Brazilian international for a second successive summer.

Arsene Wenger was eager to sign the midfielder before the start of the current season, but the player instead opted to join the Bianconeri in a deal worth around £14million.

Melo, though, has struggled for form in Serie A this season, and the Gunners boss has made heavy hints that he could bid for his signature again at the end of the campaign.

However, the 26-year-old, who has made 22 starts this term, insists he is determined to remain in Turin and fight for his future at a club he remains under contract with until 2014.

Furthermore, Juve president Jean-Claude Blanc said: "Felipe Melo will remain with us but we won't be commenting further on any future dealings."
