Arsenal will try for cut-price Afellay
12:00 PM 07 September, 2010
Arsenal Football Club will press for Ibrahim Afellay in the New Year.

Arsene Wenger has long been linked with a move for the Holland international, whose fluent style of football would fit in perfectly with the Gunners.

The 24-year-old playmaker has less than twelve months remaining on his contract at PSV Eindhoven, who may be forced to cash in on him in January.

According to talkSPORT Wenger may make a bid for Afellay when the window reopens, although Fiorentina are keen to lure the player to Italy.

PSV had initially wanted a fee of £10million for their star player during the summer, but may have to settle for half of this fee or risk losing him for nothing.

Good point... and Arshavan is not performing well and Lilttle Motzart is injury prone, well they both are. Either way, we'll soon need a playmaker replacement for Cecs.

this would be a great addition to our squad and the longterm replacement for players like Rosicky and Arshavin. Afellay, Walcott, Wilshere, Vela and maybe Lansbury will be our attacking wide players! Both Rosicky and Arshavin are edging closer to their 30's!!!
