Jagielka shrugs off Arsenal speculation
Phil Jagielka has shrugged off reported interest in him from Arsenal Football Club.
It was claimed in the summer that the Gunners had failed with two bids for the Everton defender, as Arsene Wenger looked to bolster his back four options.
Currently starring for England in the Euro 2012 qualifiers, Jagielka admits he is flattered by the interest from the Emirates Stadium club, but he is happy at Goodison Park.
"It's nice, obviously, for a club like Arsenal to be linked with me. But nothing happened. I stayed as an Everton player and I love playing for Everton,” he said.
"We have not had the greatest of starts to the season, but I'm sure we'll pick up. It's nice, nice to get two England starts and be linked with one of the big boys."
