Habib Beye admits he may have to consider his future at Aston Villa Football Club.

The defender moved to the Midlands club from Newcastle United in the summer, but he has struggled to make an impact in Martin O’Neill’s first team plans.

Beye hasn’t featured in a Premier League match since November, and he was an unused substitute as Villa lost the Carling Cup final to Manchester United on Sunday.

"Things are not going too well for me at Villa," he told the Daily Star. "I have only played in 10 games in all competitions. This is the first time in 12 years I've had a season like this.

“It is not easy for me to put up with. I am 32, I feel in good physical shape and I don't see myself sitting on the bench. If I can't express myself as a footballer with Aston Villa, it will be elsewhere.”
