Blackburn Rovers Football Club aren’t interested in Emile Heskey.

Sam Allardyce is keen to sign a new striker ahead of the new season, and it has been suggested he is keen on England international Heskey.

The 32-year-old has struggled to make an impression since joining Aston Villa from Wigan Athletic in January 2009, and Martin O’Neill is prepared to offload him.

However, whilst the Lancashire Telegraph claim Rovers have recently made a bid for a striker, it is understood reports of a £2million bid for the Villa man is well wide of the mark.
