Harry Redknapp has played down speculation linking him with a move for Aston Villa Football Club midfield duo James Milner and Ashley Young.

Manchester City have already failed with an offer of £20million for Milner, and reports have indicated that Tottenham Hotspur are set to rival the Blues for his signature.

Young, meanwhile, has also been linked with a summer switch to White Hart Lane, but Redknapp has moved to play down speculation linking him with the Villa stars.

"Anybody would like James Milner, he's an outstanding young player, but he'd be way out of our depth,” he told Sky Sports. "Again, I wouldn't think they'd want to sell Ashley Young.”
