Mathieu Flamini has emerged as a target for Aston Villa Football Club.

The France international has endured a miserable two years at AC Milan, who took him from Arsenal when his contract expired at the Emirates Stadium.

Flamini was linked with Manchester City back in January, but he insisted he wanted to remain at the San Siro and fight for his future.

However, he is now expected to quit the Serie A giants during the summer, and The Mirror claim Martin O’Neill has asked the Rossoneri to keep him informed of the situation.
