Aston Villa ready £8million McGeady bid
10:00 AM 30 July, 2010
There has never been a better time for Aston Villa Football Club to bid for Aiden McGeady.

Martin O’Neill has been on the trail of the Republic of Ireland international for some time, but has yet to follow up his interest with a firm bid.

However, after the 24-year-old was left out of Celtic’s UEFA Champions League qualifier on Wednesday, the signs are that the Scots are finally ready to listen to bids.

The Bhoys insists McGeady was left out of their plans due to a back injury, but many pundits claim they didn’t want to lower his value by cup-tying him for Europe.

This theory could well be tested by Villa in the coming days, as the Daily Record claim the Premier League side are lining up an offer of £8million.

Anyone who believes a story about Celtic from the Scottish media are being deluded, why pay £8million for 'Fading Already', when you can pick up the player who keeps him out of the Ireland team for less than £2mil.
