Aston Villa Football Club’s John Carew has been linked with a move to Besiktas.

The Norwegian international has already enjoyed a spell at the Turkish club, in 2004-2005, when he scored 13 goals in 24 appearances before clinching a move to Lyon.

Carew has just twelve months remaining on his contract at Villa Park, and reports suggest the Istanbul-based club are plotting a move to take him back.

Coach Bernd Schuster has already signed Guti and Ricardo Quaresma this summer, and the addition of the 30-year-old striker would be another quality capture.
