Alex McLeish expects Gabriel Agbonlahor to stay at Aston Villa Football Club.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a £12million summer move to Sunderland, where he would be reunited with former Villa boss Martin O’Neill.

However, McLeish finds it hard to believe Agbonlahor would ever considering leaving the Midlands club, where he has progressed through the youth ranks.

“I would find it hard to believe that Gabby would leave. This is his club,” said the Scottish coach. "Of course, it's football and you can never rule anything out.

"But I see Gabby being here for the next 10 years provided he is playing at the level he is capable of. I know how much he loves this club."
