Barcelona resigned to missing out on Fabregas
Pep Guardiola admits it is becoming increasingly likely to sign Cesc Fabregas, so long as Arsenal Football Club refuse to enter negotiations.
The Catalan giants are keen to take their former youth team player back to the Camp Nou, and the midfielder is also eager to make the move.
Arsene Wenger, though, is refusing to let his skipper leave the Emirates Stadium, and as long as he continues with this stance, Guardiola accepts the deal is all but dead.
"I think bringing in Cesc will cost a lot," said the Barca coach. "We want him to come, but if Arsenal don't want to negotiate, he won't come.”
It does seem inevitable that Fabregas will eventually return to the Spanish giants, but it looks as though the deal will be placed on hold for at least twelve months.
