Barca star wants his best mate to leave Arsenal
09:07 AM 23 July, 2010
New Barcelona striker David Villa has revealed he will do everything in his power to get Cesc Fabregas to the club.

The 23-year-old midfielder has long been linked with a switch from the Emirates to the Nou Camp, to rejoin his boyhood club.

But Arsenal have dug their heels in and a deal for the Spanish World Cup winner now looks unlikely, after the Gunners rejected an initial £25million bid.

Former Valencia forward Villa hopes his Spain team-mate will join the Primera Division champions, and is determined to assist the move.

"I am not the Barcelona coach, nor the person responsible for reinforcements, but personally I will do the maximum to get Cesc here," he said in The Sun.

"He wants to play here and it will be quite normal if Arsenal finally do a deal.

"That would be great. A player of his ability will only increase our power and his presence will be great for all the forwards.

"He'll help Xavi and (Andres) Iniesta, and I'll score more goals with him in the side."

Can't blame the boy for wanting to go. Arsenal will probably never win the league again, he ambitious and he is a Catalan born and bred.

I don't know how true the reports are about Barcelona taken out a bank loan for about £135 Mill to pay the players wages. Are Barcelona short of cash..? In the last 10 Years please correct me if i'm wronge is it just Real-M & Barcelona winning the Spainsh league. Is there more competition in the Prem then in the Spainsh laegue..? If Cesc realy wants to test him self why go & play in a weeker league. Cesc please stay fight don't take the easy option.

God, the next thing will be naming individual fans who want him to come. Boring, boring, boring reporting.
