Barnsley striker Michael Coulson has signed a one-year contract extension.

The 21-year-old joined from Scarborough in 2006 and has scored two goals in 25 appearances during his time at Oakwell.

Coulson has struggled with fitness during his time with the Reds, suffering two cruciate knee injuries but is expected to return to first-team action in August 2009.
