Charlton & Palace forwards fit Barnsley bill
Andy Gray of Charlton and Alan Lee of Crystal Palace are both being linked with the Tykes, as boss Simon Davey steps up his search for a big forward to lead the line next season.
Both players are available as their respective clubs look to cut costs and Charlton manager Phil Parkinson told the South London Press: “There’s been an enquiry from Barnsley for Andy Gray and we’re in discussions.”
The Reds meanwhile got their season underway with a 3-0 win against Buxton on Thursday night, Daniel Bogdnaovic (2) and Kayode Odejayi getting the goals, with Davey also running the rule over three trialists, including former Luton Town midfielder Dean Morgan.
