Hill launches stinging Portsmouth attack
05:00 PM 19 February, 2012
Keith Hill has revealed he has no sympathy for Portsmouth Football Club’s plight.

Pompey have been placed in administration for the second time in three seasons, and have also been docked ten points to place their Championship future in doubt.

Speaking after his Barnsley side beat the Fratton Park club 2-0 on Saturday afternoon, though, Hill revealed he has no sympathy for the 2008 FA Cup winners.

"None whatsoever, absolutely none,” he said. “Because they've spent money they can't afford. They've recruited players at the beginning of the season knowing full well they were still in debt from the previous time they were still in administration.

"They've recruited players that I could not afford to recruit, and they are paying the type of wages that I could only dream about paying. So how can I have sympathy for any football club who is competitive against me in a league where I have got not the same rich rewards?”

Man United Today, the whole defense didnt look up to rscatch. Against a really good attack like Man City's, they just wernt good enough. Ferdinand and Evans actually look like they have a good relationship (I remember them playing together quite a bit a few seasons ago) and against a weaker team, could have done a good enough job. But Ferdinand lacks his old pace and was exposed by balotteli. While Evans doesnt concentrate enough (leading to mistakes aka Sending off) and doesnt read the game well enough to stop talent like this. Evra is in very bad form (has been for a while now) and surprisingly has had positional problems, which for a experienced player like him is very disappointing. While Smalling understandably had positional problems. The midfield selection was a mystery, Anderson and Fletcher are both good at breaking up play and giving energy to the midfield. But neither are very good on the ball or have a great footballing brain, and more importantly neither is a holding player. This was a game for Carrick to play in if ever there was one. He is great at playing between the lines thereby disrupting silva's area of expertise, and is very intelligent on the ball, something Man United needed today. I actually thought nani and young did okay today, they looked dangerous when given the chance, but were up against good fullbacks, who didnt need to be too adventurous as man city lead for most of the match. The big problem was playing rooney with welbeck, this was similar to Man United playing too up top against Barcelona in the champions league final, it gave them a disadvantage in midfield, that they couldn't get over. Rooney needed to play up front as a lone striker today, with young and nani playing off of him. This would have arguably been more of a threat to Man city, but also more importantly let Man united have a 3 man midfield. Man United should have played carrick, Flecther, Anderson in midfield to help stifle Man City, and have a front 3 of rooney, nan
