Julien Faubert could soon end his nightmare at West Ham United Football Club.

The Hammers fought off competition from Scottish giants Rangers in the summer of 2007 to sign the France international from Bordeaux for £6.1million.

Faubert had a nightmare start to life in England when he ruptured an Achilles tendon during pre-season, which ruled him out until the New Year of 2008.

In one of the shocks of the transfer window of January 2009, the 25-year-old was loaned to Spanish giants Real Madrid, but he only made two La Liga appearances.

The midfielder is now set to return to Upton Park, but the Daily Mirror claim Bayer Leverkusen are looking to offer him the chance to reignite his career in Germany.
