Sunderland Football Club’s Teemu Tainio is relaxed over his future.

The 30-year-old is currently on loan at Birmingham City, and whilst it remains unclear if he has a future at the Stadium of Light, he insists he is relaxed over his options.

"I have one more year at Sunderland on my contract. If the club tell me I am staying, then I stay," said Tainio, who has been restricted to six Premier League outings this season due to injury.

"I am really open-minded on my future. I will just play to the end of the season with Birmingham and hopefully I will get a few more games. It's hard to say what will happen but I am open-minded."
