Blues failed with number of bids for Zamora
01:30 PM 01 September, 2010
Birmingham City Football Club reportedly failed with a number of summer bids for Bobby Zamora.

The striker has established himself as one of the top performers in the Premier League in recent times, and he is believed to have many admirers in the top-flight.

It is being suggested that Alex McLeish had tabled a number of offers for the Fulham ace during the summer, but each one was rejected by the Londoners.

Mark Hughes is determined to keep Zamora at Craven Cottage, and the club are now preparing a new deal which will make the 29-year-old the best paid player in their history.
