El-Hadji Diouf reckons Blackburn Rovers Football Club can qualify for Europe this season.

Although the Ewood Park side are by no means sure of avoiding a relegation battle, one defeat in their last six Premier League games has lifted them to mid-table.

They remain, however, twelve points off seventh place in the Premier League, but Diouf sees no reason why they can’t nick a place in the Europa League for next term.

“The gaffer has told us to believe in ourselves and believe we can make the UEFA Cup,” he told the Lancashire Telegraph. “It’s definitely a realistic aim. We are not far from the top sides.”
