Sam Allardyce is happy with Yildiray Basturk’s progress at Blackburn Rovers Football Club.

The Turkish midfielder was signed in the winter when his contract at Stuttgart was terminated, but he is yet to make his debut for the Ewood Park club.

Basturk is still working towards his fitness before being introduced into the Premier League, but Allardyce said: "He's coming on fine. He's looking good with the lads.

"Obviously we can see all the ability that he has got, so it is all about keeping him going from a fitness point of view and introducing him when we see fit."
