Blackburn Rovers have made a bid for Simon Cox.

Steve Kean is looking to add to his squad ahead of the new season, as he plots Rovers’ instant return to the Premier League following last term’s relegation.

And it is believed the Ewood Park boss has made an offer for Republic of Ireland international Cox, who is expected to leave West Bromwich Albion this summer.

"Things might resolve themselves over the weekend. If they don't, Simon will be back working with us,” said Baggies boss Steve Clarke on the official club site.
