New boy joins as Portugal beckons for Bristol City
08:30 PM 06 July, 2009
Paul Hartley has completed a free transfer move to Ashton Gate after the expiry of his Celtic contract.

Clubs in the Championship, SPL and further afield wanted the experienced midfielder but Gary Johnson has won the race to sign a player he claims has a '27-year-old brain."

Johnson takes his side to Portugal this week for a training camp ahead of next Monday's friendly opener against Hereford and does not know yet whether Dutch trialist Anduele Pryor will be on the plane.

The former Vitesse attacker has a couple of days left to convince the City boss he is worth a longer look.
