Danny Shittu is wanted by Bristol City Football Club.

The 29-year-old Nigerian international was a Gary Megson signing for Bolton Wanderers, but he is well down the pecking order at the Reebok Stadium.

His situation hasn’t improved under new manager Owen Coyle, who is said to be willing to let him leave if a loan offer should present itself.

Reports in The Mirror claim Championship side Bristol City are keen to take Shittu, who they will try and persuade to drop down a division to gain regular football.
