Bristol Rovers look to next season
11:30 AM 20 April, 2009
With Bristol Rovers safely ensconced in mid-table and their play-off bid over, manager Paul Trollope is looking to build for next season's campaign.

Bristol scored an impressive victory over promotion-chasing Millwall on Saturday and Trollope told the Evening Post, "We are making serious plans for next season already – and we have been for the last four or five weeks – in terms of personnel and the way we do things."

"We are looking at models of the top teams in the division to see what they have got in certain areas and how they do it, because we want to emulate that.

'There are going to be changes. We feel we want to make a step forward.

"There will be some new faces arriving at the club. There are some we have already identified, although whether you get them or not at this stage you never know."

"Even though we are in a mid-table position, the players are showing they want to be here so I am pleased with that.

"We’re pleased we have reached the 60 points mark and hopefully now we can get to 65-plus, which will represent good progress for us."

Rovers face Brighton at the Memorial Stadium on Tuesday night.
