Burnley Football Club have slammed reports Brian Laws could shortly be sacked.
Since replacing Owen Coyle earlier this month, Laws has enjoyed just one win in charge of the Clarets from ten games which has seen them drop into the bottom three.
The Sun reported that the former Sheffield Wednesday manager could be sacked before the end of the campaign, but Turf Moor chairman Barry Kilby has slammed these claims.
"This is a ludicrous, irresponsible, damaging and inaccurate piece of journalism,” he said, via an official club statement on Thursday.
"We are not in the process of looking for a replacement for Brian and everyone involved with Burnley Football Club is putting every ounce of effort into staying in the Premier League."
