Southampton Football Club have completed the signing of Jay Rodriguez.

The Premier League new-boys have been linked with the 22-year-old for much of the summer, following another impressive season for Burnley.

Rodriguez scored 21 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions last term, and he has now joined the Saints for a reported record fee of £7million.

“I'm really relieved that we've got it sorted now and it's done. I really can't wait for the start of the season, and the start of pre-season,” he told the official club website.
