Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale says any transfer money will be re-invested in new signings.
With Cardiff failing to make the Prmier League, several players are tipped to leave with Joe Ledley and Ross McCormack high on the list.
"If players are sold then the majority of money raised will be invested in new signings," Ridsdale told Wales Online.
"There are still some additional costs on moving to the new stadium to that which was anticipated, but we have moved from having to sell millions of pounds worth of players to survive to a situation where we can pick and choose which bids to accept and give the majority of that money to Dave Jones to strengthen the squad."
