Sunderland Football Club forward Daryl Murphy is in demand.

The Republic of Ireland international started for the Black Cats in their 3-0 FA Cup win over Barrow on Saturday, but he has made just one Premier League start all season.

Steve Bruce is willing to let the 26-year-old leave for around £1million, and reports suggest both Hull City and Stoke City have taken an interest in keeping him in the top-flight.

However, according to the Journal, it is Championship side Cardiff City who are leading the chase for Murphy, with an offer expected to be tabled during the week.
