Cardiff City Football Club would love to take Jason Koumas back.

The 30-year-old was expected to play a key role for Roberto Martinez this season, but the midfielder has fallen out of favour and has made just six Premier League starts.

Koumas could well be shipped out before the end of the transfer window, and the Daily Mail claim Cardiff are interested in taking him to aid their promotion bid.

The midfielder enjoyed a fine loan spell with the Bluebirds in 2005/06 when he scored 12 goals in 44 appearances, earning the club’s Player of the Year award in the process.
