Fulham are set to up their bid for Peter Whittingham.

Martin Jol is eager to add more attacking threat to his squad this summer, and has already signed Hugo Rodallega and Mladen Petric.

The Dutch coach has now set his sights on Cardiff City winger Whittingham, who banged in 13 goals for the Championship side last season.

A £2.5million offer has already been rejected by the Bluebirds, but Jol is poised to return with an improved bid of £3million for the 27-year-old.
