Liverpool Football Club are set to win the race for Jonjo Shelvey.

The 18-year-old midfielder is rated as one of the best prospects in English football, and has in the past been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

However, according to skysports.com, the Reds are set to beat off the competition from this London trio to take Shelvey from Charlton Athletic.

It is believed the youngster will travel to Merseyside in the coming days to undergo a medical and complete the formalities of his move to Anfield.
