Charlton Athletic boss wary of scouts
Chris Powell knows a number of scouts have been looking at his Charlton Athletic players.
During Tuesday night’s 4-0 win over Chesterfield alone, it has been reported that no fewer than 21 scouts were in attendance to watch the League One table-toppers.
Manager Powell accepts that the performance of his players is sure to attract interest, but he has reminded them that they still have to finish their objective of promotion this season.
"Hopefully they were just taking a game in because there weren't too many being played!" he said. "I know how we've done will obviously attract people to us.
“I've put a team and a squad together this year that I felt would do a job for me and the club. So far they are doing that. They obviously need to complete the job.”
