Neven Subotic is set to spark an auction for his signature in the summer.

The Serbian defender is rated as one of the best young prospects in European football, and is currently plying his trade in Germany for Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester City failed to take him to Eastlands during the winter window, and the Sunday Mirror now claim Chelsea are set to make him a top target at the end of the season.

“There was no chance of Neven leaving Dortmund in January,” said agent Stephen Kelly. “The summer is a different story, but it will take a hell of a lot of money to get Dortmund to sell Neven.”

It is believed the Bundesliga side would want at least £20million for Subotic, 21-years-old, but this is a fee both Premier League sides would be able to afford comfortably.
