Fabio Borini is set to sign a new deal with Chelsea Football Club.

The teenage striker has impressed since joining the Blues last July, and he has featured eight times for Carlo Ancelotti’s first team during the course of his debut season.

It has now emerged that the Londoners are keen to tie Borini to a new contract at Stamford Bridge, and his agent has confirmed talks are planned to strike fresh terms.

"There will soon be a meeting with Chelsea for the renewing of the contract," Marco De Marchi told Calciomercato.it. "In London, Fabio is very good.

"The management are very pleased with his performances and Carlo Ancelotti rates him highly. He wants to remain with the Blues but if there are other options we will evaluate them."
