Nicolas Anelka could be on borrowed time at Chelsea Football Club.

The France international is out of contract at the end of next season, and the Blues are said to be willing to offer him another twelve months on top of this deal.

However, it is believed the 31-year-old is holding out for another two years, but reports suggest the Stamford Bridge club are refusing to budge on their offer.

With Carlo Ancelotti set to be given big funds to boost his squad in the summer, Anelka could well find himself available for transfer unless he accepts the shorter offer on the table.
