Roman Abramovich has told his Chelsea Football Club players that they can still win two of the biggest prizes on offer during the remainder of the campaign.

The Blues suffered more UEFA Champions League heartache in the week, when Jose Mourinho’s Inter Milan dumped them out of the competition in the second round.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti has now revealed that owner Abramovich paid a visit to see the players on Thursday, to remind them all they are still very much in the hunt for the Premier League and FA Cup.

“Roman spoke with me and the players," he said. "He came here to support us because he knows football very well and he knows that we are still involved in important competitions.

“So I think his presence here was very good. I said we have important games in the next week and we have to stay focused - all the players and all the club."
