Defender Stephen Wright has beeen awarded the captain's armband with Coventry City.
29-year old Wright, who arrived at the Ricoh last summer, takes over from Scott Dann who has moved to Birmingham.
Coleman told the club's official website: "Stephen is an experienced professional and when he featured last year we enjoyed our most successful spells.
"He is a level-headed individual, calm, solid defender who a lot of the younger lads look up to and can learn from.
"He is a leader with or without the armband and I'm sure he will do extremely well for the team."
