Sam Vokes is poised to join Coventry City Football Club.
Mick McCarthy, the Wolverhampton Wanderers boss, is happy to let the 19-year-old striker leave on loan, and he will spend three months with the Sky Blues.
"It's dragged on a little bit but through no fault of our own or Wolves'," City boss Chris Coleman said. "Sometimes with these things it's just the way they're drawn out."
Vokes is unlikely to be signed in time to make the match against Watford on Tuesday night, so he could debut with the visit of Leicester City on Saturday.
