Leon Best is not a target for Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club.

The Premier League side have been heavily linked with the Coventry City striker, but chief executive Jez Moxey has denied an interest in the £1.5million-rated player.

"There's nothing in it - I'm happy to say there's no truth in this,” he told the Express & Star. "Mick has always thought of Leon Best as a good player but we have bought Stefan Maierhofer.

“We still have Chris Iwelumo to come back, so we have players covering the role that player can play. I would have thought he was more likely to allow his contract to run out and be a free agent."
