Tottenham Hotspur Football Club made a bid for Keiren Westwood last month.

Harry Redknapp is keen to add a new goalkeeper to his squad to provide competition for Heurelho Gomes, and he has long been linked with the Coventry City star.

It had been suggested that the Sky Blues overprice Westwood in a bid to stave off interest from Spurs, but chairman Ray Ranson has denied these claims.

“I want to put the record straight,” he told the Coventry Telegraph. "I never put a price tag on Keiren Westwood and I have never quoted any price to any club.

“That is not my style. I didn't quote any figures to Tottenham Hotspur. They made an inquiry for Keiren Westwood and they were turned down and that's it."
