King eyes Boothroyd reunion at Coventry City
Marlon King is keen to link up with Aidy Boothroyd at Coventry City Football Club.
The 30-year-old was released from jail last month after serving nine months for assaulting a woman, and he is determined to get back into the game.
King had the best spell of his career under Boothroyd at Watford, when he scored 21 goals in 2005-2006, and he has been in talks with his former mentor who is now in charge at the Ricoh Arena.
“It's very important to be able to work with somebody you trust on and off the pitch," the striker’s agent, Tony Finnegan, told the Coventry Telegraph.
"Marlon and Aidy had a very special relationship and that's definitely a big factor - the biggest factor. I remember the journey at Watford very well; it was a wonderful, wonderful period.”
