Cardiff City fail with Keogh bid
10:30 AM 31 May, 2012
Cardiff City Football Club have failed with an offer for Richard Keogh.

It is believed the Bluebirds have tabled an offer of £800,000 for Keogh, but Coventry City remain hopeful of keeping the defender despite their relegation to League One.

“We are in contractual discussions with him and his agent regarding extending his contract and keeping him at Coventry,” development director Steve Waggott told the Coventry Telegraph.

“We would love him - subject to the manager's discussions with him - to take on the captaincy and lead the team back to the Championship.”

Great piece, Steve. Very telling that Tremblay's coorlilcuns were unwilling to support the motion congratulating Linda Gyulai for her award. We in Projet Montreal most definitely would have supported it. Linda's work on the water meter contract was truly outstanding, as was that of many other journalists who helped piece together this scandal.
