Fulham Football Club have decided against signing Curtis Main.

The Premier League side handed a trial to the 16-year-old Darlington forward, but Roy Hodgson has decided against offering him a contract at Craven Cottage.

A statement on Darlington's official website read: "Curtis Main will not be joining Fulham after the Premier League club decided to monitor the teenager's progress.”

Newcastle United are said to be keen on Main as are North East rivals Middlesbrough, and it looks increasingly likely that the player will be leaving the Quakers in the summer.
