Veteran striker Dean Windass has completed a free transfer to Darlington.

40-year old Windass has signed a 12-month contract and will be player-coach under Colin Todd.

Darlington will be the 10th club of his 19-year career. He joins following his release by Phil Brown at Premiership Hull.

Windass turned down a similar player/coach role at Port Vale to join Darlo.

Aberdeen will go to the KC Stadium in August to play Hull City in a testimonial match for Dean Windass.
